stupid 2.8!!!!!help plz
Hello, I'm new on here. I just bought an 87 camaro 2.8 5speed, and it will not start. I have replaced the fuel pump/filter/distibutor/wires/sparkplugs/egr/vac lines/fuel filter/ign coil/iac/iac plug/almost all gaskets/oil pressure switch/maf/ maf relay/battery/ and have reset the timing. but now it wont start at all. To give you an idea of whats happened, it use to hesitate really bad and would only run at high rpms, then it died on the freeway on the way home at 70 mph. and now it just sits in my drive way. Im seriously about to take a sledgehammer to this car..... One thing is that i have no fuel pressure when i push on the shraeder valve. the pump primes everytime i turn the key but it wont start. I have jumped it on the fuel pump relay plug and it still wouldnt start. please help... because im loosing faith in camaro's from this experience..but when i do push the shraeder valve it does shoot up just pours out..if that helps any..please help

Stop spending money on stuff you don't know is wrong. Figure out what is wrong first then spend money on what's really needed. Nowhere do you mention injectors. If they're the original injectors they probably need to be replaced. At least check the resistance but a set from southbayfuelinjectors.com is only about a $130 and you'll get some peace of mind and a solid foundation to start diagnosing what's wrong.

at some point it's always cheaper to have a professional diagnose it, even if you end up doing the work yourself

if your not getting pressure at the fuel rail(and it should shoot up pretty high) then your fuel pump has probably taking a crap. it can still prime and be bad, its not building pressure. i see that you replaced it but you couldve gotten a bad one or not installed it correctly.

i think that is the case because i was just out messin with it and i sprayed some fuel into the line that goes into the thottle body from the fuel pressure reg. and it acted like it wanted to fire up. and i have eleminated every other possible cause to why it wont start. thank you for all the info guys and ill post if this fixes it.
Re: stupid 2.8!!!!!help plz
ok so i took off the fuel filter and blew threw it, was good. and when i turned the key on gas would shoot out of the tank side line almost completely across the width of the car. so i take the shrader off and i get about 5 inches of gas that goes up. put it back on and same thing, gas doesnt shoot out just pours over..... is it my fpr??? bad f-pump?? clogged line? or whats it sound like to you let me know plz

Not according to your description. You can have all the fuel you want but if the injectors are bad enough the ecu won't let the engine run. If you don't know for sure the injectors are good you're wasting your time with everything else.
