it's my girlfriends, but as soon as the camaro is gone, it's "our" car.

as sad as it is, the grand prix is a million times better than the camaro, EXCEPT I can't do any kind of burnout or anything with the FWD.

thanks to carndriver for the eagle gs-c's on the grand prix that have really awakened the car's handling. it'll blow my camaro away in every aspect now. i'll miss thirdgen.org, but now I can enlighten the kids on clubgp.com

it sucks. costs too much to maintain (this one is a bit of a lemon, have to constantly put money into it) insurance is $660 every 6 months for just liability, i'm pretty much paying too much for too little. and it's slow, and mods wise, I can do a million more to the GP than the camaro.

maybe in 2 to 3 years I can have a camaro again. if I want real power (easy power) I'll need a 4th gen, but I love the 3rd gen body too much, so I'll win the lotto and get a 3rd gen and put a ls1 and t56 in.

anybody want some 15" trans am wheels?

yeah this one has the best wheels though, 16x8 crosslace wheels, the rest of the gp's w/ 16" wheels are either 16x6.5 or 16x7

I can actually put 245/50's on it. (and I do -- but 245/45's)

You can accualy do a burn out in FWD. You just need up the HP some more. I personally don't like FWD,becuase when you break traction you lose all ability to steer the car. It happened to me in my Mom's car and scared the hell out of me, I thought I was gonna die! Now when I drive her car I'm extra carfull about taking corners and curves.

Guess I ain't the only one going from a third gen to a FWD Pontiac coupe

Good luck with the GP...my dad has a '95 GP SE 4 door with 99k on it, and the car has been flawless for him...3100s are bulletproof, smooth, get great MPG, and even in the GPs, the 3100 is quicker than 3rd gen V6s...in the GAs they're little screamers!!!

It isn't so bad doing burnouts with FWD...I have stock, OEM-type BFG Touring T/As on my '95 GA 3100 (size 195/65/15), and I can roast them good...I can see where with GSCs its a little hard to though!

it's not that hard to steer while spinning.

just like just about all of us have learned to powerslide, go in a hard corner, and get the rear to slide sideways through the corner and have no real traction in back, just pushing it through w/ motor etc. etc. etc.

on the 3100, all the power feels like it's way up high though (don't like that) i do like the more power thing, I absolutely spanked a Dodge Avenger ES last night in the gp, if I were in the maro, I'd lose.

as for burnouts, I don't know yet, I've tried using the e-brake and flooring it from a dead stop, and it just drags the a$$ around, even on the 3400 DOHC I can't spin em like rwd.

only on the v6 board can a sig test get replies.
