Re: need for power

If you're swapping in a v8, why spend anything on the 6? That's money that eats away at your v8 fund.

Re: need for power

I love the V6's but there not cheep to make fast and you should definitly have some patients so if you actually plan on dropping a V8 then I agree with the last post.

Re: need for power

I'd get some rear gears (3.42-3.73s), a cat back (atleast 2 1/2 pipes), alloy driveshaft, fiberglass hood, ect. Basically anything that you can use on the v8.

Don't ruin another V6 car. sell it and get a car that is fast enough so you can be stupid to your heart's content.

Re: need for power

How much money are you planning on spending on a different V8 engine?? You could always work on turboing that engine(theV6). Look at a few ppl on this board. Those motors can really be impressive once a turbo is on them. In my opinion its the way to go if your not dedecated to putting a V8 in there. This route is so much more unique!

The v6s have 3.42s or 3.23s(depending on year) by default.

Re: need for power

Just do a few mods you can transfer to the V8. There are not many. You can add a larger catback 2.5 inch or 3, but 3 might be a bit big for the V6. Custom make an intake that can be easily fit to a V8. Aluminum drive shaft, posi, poly suspension. Get the generic stuff out of the way that way you have a good drive train to use for the V8

Yes indeed!!!

Unless you're gonna drop in a modern V8 or good crate engine. Why waste the time when there's hundreds of from the factory V8's to had?
