Deltacams 260 grind will work, although a tune will help alot exspecially the massive lope at idle. Although the lope sounds good it was a tad rich. And once I tuned the idle the lope went away but ran smoother and such. Ive got alot of different bin files saved for a cammed 3.1L.

Im hoping once i get mine in itll work out well.

I like the lope too when its the cam doing it and not the crap tune like I had Mine was loping like i had a really big cam in it, and I really didn't.


Deltacams are 118$ roughly shipped to your door with new lifters included. Best bang for your buck in my mind.

You can use a delta 260 grind cam. Any cam wont see its potenital without a tune thats all. But the 260 cam will work with the stock tune.

if u are still using the original 2.8 ecm the 260 cam will work just fine

more then likley u will need a tune to use that 260 cam , if u cant burn ur own chip ask fastedi he may be able to hook u up with a chip since he had to tune his when he installed the 260 cam

most cams with the 3.1 ecm will require u to tune it, the only thing u can really put in the engine is something very close to stock and then its not really worth it

You just get the eprom adapter from moates, so you can pop in a new chip easily...I have alot of bin files for my car with the delta 260 grind that I can burn you, the chips only 5 bucks... Just pay for the chips and stuff, ill burn them for free for you as many times as you need.

Do you have a 92 camaro? You probley should tune, I can help you burn the chips if you need the help. Speed density is very pickey about air flow and such, I dont wana confuse you but,

A tune is prefered!!!!

Believe me it is not that hard. I have a ton of tunes on my car with a delta 260 grind cam and ported heads. Every cars different but if you ever decide to go this route ill help as much as I can.

My opinion.. deltacam.com a delta 260grind will work fine. And you have a MAF system so you really dont need to tune it. I think project89 had that one or a 272grind in his car before.

Cam and lifters kit is roughly 115$ shipped to your door. Best bang for your buck in my opinion

Yea youll see a difference. I just ported my heads an put a delta 260 cam in it. Only mods were muffler, underdrive pullys(worthless in my mind)

0-60. Look faster then your stocker??

Im not sure of the increase from the cam it self and every set up/car varys BUT id safely say I personally got about 15-20Hp from the cam and the ported heads. I ported the heads myself, and it was my first time ever doing that so its not to difficult......

i had both the 260 and the 272 grind in my 2.8 till i swaped to a split duration cam which was basically a split of the 260 and 272 just a lil larger on each side and that ran fine with the maf

The 260 cam from Delta cams, I didnt get the cam thinking I was going to boost so soon after that mod, but it is a good cam.
