ok i KNOW summit used to sell em because i priced em out back when i had my 90 RS but i gave that idea up wen i sold it and bought my iroc, now in addition to my iroc i also have an 87 Sport Coupe with a 2.8, but im puttin in a 3.1, while it was out i figured id buy the headers for it, but NOW i cant seem to find em on summits site, i even checked the links posted here on the v6 forums and they all go right to summits home page so am i missing something or are they not avail anymore?? o.o

 

Look up headers for a 2.8L... that should lead you to some links.

 

Headers for the 2.8L V6 will fit the 3.1L V6, too. You'll just have an excuse to get rid of your A.I.R. system.

 

If you're in CA they're not legal for a 3.1. Only the 2.8. But....

 

yea im in Delaware so i only have to pass tail pipe emissions and a "visual" inspection but the idiots dont know anything about cars anyway

 

thanks i found em, but u think ill pass tail pipe emisions with the AIR and EGR delete?

 

they have provision for the egr valve, the air pump needs to go though.

just remove the underhood sticker and they prolly wont notice. the 2.8 didnt have a smog pump and there are alot more 2.8 cars then 3.1 cars so chances are the guy doing the visual wont even think about it

 

Headers are illegal in California. Unless your car is smog exempt unfortunately mine isn't oh well gives me an excuse to keep the stock manifolds & the neighbors won't hate me so bad.

this is a daily drive not looking for any major performance from her, thats why i hav my IROC, i just wana do full exhaust on her and suspension/ clutch/ rear mods
