one more 2.8 to 3.4 swap ques.

I am attempting the 2.8 to 3.4 swap in my 1989 rs I have read up on it and believe I understand all involved. my question is can I use the 3.4 base intake ( with 2.8 middle and upper on top ) which doesn't have a spot in rear of base intake for cold start valve or in front for switch thus eliminating the cold start valve all together? while also plugging up the rear of fuel rail? will this work at all or not at all? I live in florida so cold temps will not be much of a issue? from what I understand it will just increase the cranking time till start ? any input on this would be soooo much appreciated thanks in advance

Where at in Florida?

When doing the 2.8-3.4 swap you keep ALL of your 2.8 accessories, intake, manifolds, sensors, and the like. All you use from the 3.4 is the block and heads. The lower intake manifold is different on the 3.4. I'll have to find my comparison pictures from when I did the swap, but I'll post them when I find them.

St Petersburg/ Thanks for the reply I have both engines side by side haven't really tore into them yet I was just pondering some ideas lol I appreciate your expertise seeing that you have done this swap yourself. I might need to pick your brain a bit throughout this process if you don't mind seeing this is my first swap. But I think I got the jist of it thanks again for the reply

ohhhh yeah maybe someone can answer this for me as well during removing my 2.8 the two wires going into the cold start injector got pulled out ( connector at rear of base manifold ) one purple and one looks kinda yellowish or tan? which side of injector does the purple one go to? if looking at the engine from the front is it the left or right side? thanks again

How many miles are on the motor? The chains are the same from 2.8-3.4

Hey bud, sorry I haven't gotten you the pics you need. I've been crazy sick this week. I'll try to get out tomorrow, I'm feeling better today.
