New Injector Locking Clip

Just got these 17lb injectors from Southbay and went to put them in and noticed the ring for the locking clip doesn’t line up with the existing injector. The way the new injector fits in, it looks like the clip should go into the bottom ring, but it doesn’t fit on there. When using the top ring, the injector feels too loose on the fuel rail.

When removing the old injectors, one of the clips broke so I only have 5/6 now anyways. Will it make a difference if I use the clips at all once the fuel rail is tightened down to the lower intake manifold? What have others done when replacing injectors other than stock?

Re: New Injector Locking Clip

Sorry for the delayed reply...you do not need them. The pressure from the fuel rail will hold them in place
