I keep my 1967 RS/SS Camaro Convertible LT-1 4-speed. Forever. You only own the first, once.
My Wife will be using her 1968 until....
I'm not sure what I'll be doing with the 1974 Corvette, but it is AC'd & Auto, perfect LA cruiser & CA SMOG EXEMPT (30+ yrs!! to CA, go figure, but who cares)!!
My 85 Firebird the Wife & Son drive daily, now
The 85 Blazer is getting a tranny/3.4 swap now.
The motorcycle? I'm cheap on gas with a 1972 CB200 Honda, styled like an old Triumph Bonneville racer.

I'm fending off the minivan until after our next big project..... *** HELP ME I HATE THE THINGS!

i was talkin to my dad today and askin him what he wanted to do to the engine and stuff like that. he said he wants to get the motor and tranny pulled out . strip the motor down to the block and send it out and get it bored and stroked and get the head ported and polished. also get some new high compression pistons too cuz stock its only 8.1:1 compression ratio. after that just get some othere stuff like a intake manifold , carb , headers and other stuff like that. it should take about a year to be totally finished. cant wait to getr started!!!!

Never throw away anything of that stock set up (it's to valuable).
Infact, you could use it, as it is primo working stuff!
Raise to 9-ish compression, retain stock exhaust & raise rear ratio to 3:36 range.
You'll do great!
Pontiacs have TORQUE!!
Keep revs to 5-5500 only, build power below the 5K mark.
You'll do fine!
And run on available pump gas, too!!
Roller tip rockers & HD springs & new guides & perfect 4 angle valve grind are the best money effort going!
