need help on fitting
I have a 1985 Trans am it came factory with obviously 16x8's I am going to put 18x8 Iroc replicas on it. They have the same bolt pattern and are zero offset. my question is how much would I have to lower the car in order to get it to set right with the 18x8's? Also these rims will clear everything right? Also what brand of lowering could would you recommend also would there be anything I would else need to do in order for these rims to fit?

A 245/40-18 would yield the same diameter as a stock 245/50-16. The rears will be a bit farther outboard but should pose no problem with those size tires.

So could I lower the car an inch if I put the 18'a on there with no rubing or any problems?

An inch lower should be no problem... But check with others who may have done the same thing first!

The pic is with a set of Prokits which lowered the car about 1.5" w/no rubbing issues.
