Having Trouble Identifying Which Center Caps I Need

Hello all. I have a quick question for you. I picked up a set of wheels of Craigslist. They did not come with center caps. As I am doing my shopping for caps, I can't seem to find any that look as if they are the right application. I want to make sure I can get caps for these before I spend the money on powder coating. Have a look at the pic. Any idea what type of caps these take? There are no little holes or metal "tangs", it looks as if it is a cap that just fits into the small space between the wheel and hub or under the lugs. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!Name: wheels_zpsc9cad4e0.jpg

Re: Having Trouble Identifying Which Center Caps I Need

The spring tension of the tangs hold the cap on in the hub centric

Re: Having Trouble Identifying Which Center Caps I Need

I appreciate the feedback, however I am pretty sure my wheels will not accept the tangs. I found a similar picture while trolling the forums of my type of wheels, with centercaps on them (Minus the goofy spinner thing). It DOES appear as if the center cap assembly plays a part with the lugs, however I can't find any for sale that look like that on Classic Indutries, Rick's Camaro, etc. HELP!

Re: Having Trouble Identifying Which Center Caps I Need

Well damn, I found another pic with the caps you were talking about. So you mean to tell me, those caps will snap into the paper thin space between the wheel and the hub?!?! Yikes!

Re: Having Trouble Identifying Which Center Caps I Need

The center cap is retained in the outer hub lip in the wheel.

Re: Having Trouble Identifying Which Center Caps I Need

I could just cut them off I suppose, but if the caps are the wrong ones, I would hate to damage them only to find they won't work.

I believe the 82-84 wheels did not use the alignment pins for the hub caps
