Just wanted to double check
Hey all, I know very little about anything in this section so I figured I'd ask
http://m.summitracing.com/parts/are-105m7861b
Will these work? Also have them in 18s. If they will and suggestions on tire sizes? And 17 vs 18?

Re: Just wanted to double check
Yes they will fit. 1894's of the same backspacing and width will also work. With both sizes a 9.5 will fit the rear with 5.25" or so of backspacing.

Ok, I was going to see if I could get a wider one for the rear maybe even try 17s front 18s rear but idk.

Re: Just wanted to double check
Staggering, while theoretically cool and visually appealing (to some) will limit the maximum handling and braking of a 3rd gen.

Re: Just wanted to double check
Kinda what I was thinking. Just going from 16s to 17s opens up a lot more options as far as tires go so I think I'm just going to stick with that. So 5.25 back spacing for front and back for the 9.5 wheels?

A 275-40-17 on a 9.5" wheel (with 5.25" BS) will fit perfectly, look agressive, and bring the car's handling and braking up a level or two.

On a side not I can't even the find the wheels in 9.5 with 5.25 bs in black let alone. Would the 8in wide really be that bad?

Re: Just wanted to double check
look up vision legend 5 141 wheels in black. they make a 17x9 with 5" backspacing. a 275/40/17 will fit it and look about the same.

Re: Just wanted to double check
Theyre not to bad. If i stay with the 17x8's i think im going to grab
http://www.summitracing.com/oh/parts...8834/overview/
As long as they work. Im still finishing up my 5.3 swap and im only going to be getting 500 for my stock gta wheels. So im in a budget and i think ill be ok with the 8's.
Happen to have a recommended tire size for them? Also plese double check the specs out. They are pretty similar but just a bit different.
Thanks again because im clueless when it comes to wheels and tires.
Also im open to suggestions on wheels. I prefer black with a lip right around the 150 ea range is about where im at.

Re: Just wanted to double check
the vision wheels are not expensive. they make the summit brand legend wheels. just wish summit carried them in black instead of only grey and chrome.
