change of plans.
Hi guys, back again with a few questions.
1st off does anyone have these on their car? Would love to see them.
2nd I think I need 2 in wheel spacers. Where is the best place to get them? Just spacers though right?
Last is once I get a 4th gen rear I won't need spacers in the back correct?

Thanks for your time

Re: change of plans.
Also if you guys could suggest a good tire for them. My ultimate plan is to run the 4th gen rear so the rear tire will have to work with the 3rd gen wit spacer and the 4th gen.
thank you
thank you

On the front, you need 2.00" spacers.
275-40-17 is the correct tire size.

Re: change of plans.
So the original wheels I wanted are still not in stock. These wheels are option b and are on sale!
Just wanted to make sure 275 40 18s will work too since they're slightly different.
Also those of you with the spacer/ adapters. Who do you recommend? Anyone special on ebay? And I anything special I need to look for?
thanks on advance

Re: change of plans.
Well I just picked up a 99 trans am rear. Shortly I'll have that in and I'll run my gta wheels till I get a set of vette wheels. Can anyone chime in on the tire size for those wheels?

Re: change of plans.
You can't run an 18 inch tire with a 17 inch wheel, if that's what your question is.
275/40/17 is the correct size.
275/40/18 is meant for a completely different size of wheel, and will not work.

Re: change of plans.
Also, I have a 99 Trans Am rear in my car. The width is equivalent to a stock thirdgen rear with 2" spacers. I used to have C6 Corvette wheels and they fit perfect on the rear without spacers, you'll still need 2" on the front.

These are the 18s I'm talking about. Completely different and on sale! Lol. I just wasn't sure as far as what tires to run.
I wasn't planning on trying to fit a 18 inch tire on a 17 inch wheel. Sorry if it came out that way.
IF I get 17s the tires would be 275/40/ 17
just curious what the 18s would be?
Yes i know I'll need spacers in the front still was just asking opinions on the ebay spacers. I no longer need 4 since I have the 4th gen rear.

Re: change of plans.
Go with an 18" wheel and you will have much less to worry about with the tie rod ends. I had to run a 2 1/8 or 2 1/4 spacer up front with 17.

Ok, yea 2 in spacers I was told just not sure which. Also not sure in the tire size. I'd like it to sit close to stock height. My longtubes are the lowest point atm

Re: change of plans.
So I just got me a set of these ordered!
I was thinking about 275/35 18s for these.
Suggestions on where I should get my 2 in spacers for the front?

EBay. They won't be hubcentric, instead they will be centered with the studs. It may put more stress on the wheel studs but I've put over 50,000 miles on my fronts including autocrossing and haven't had a problem yet.

Re: change of plans.
Ok. Any specific seller or just one that has the 2 in spacers?
Also curious if any with the 275/35s experience any rub in the front? Figured it made more sense to be able to rotate them.

Re: change of plans.
I have 275/40/17 and they rub with the steering wheel locked but to be honest that's only in parking lots. On some autocrossing courses taking a hard turn and braking would bring it but that could be too little suspension travel. When you bolt them up and set the car down, make sure you have 1/4" clearance between the rim and strut body.
