Compressed air canister for spare????
Hey guys, I have a 83 Z28 and I had a flat. I pulled the spare, that was sucked flat and rolled into itself and inflated it with the canister. I was blown away, 32 year old canister worked. Now what. Where do I get a replacement? No one can fill it that I know of. Has anyone run into this and if so, what is the answer? Let me know. Matt

Try going to a supply house that sells compressed gas cylinders. You can google it. Airgas is a popular vendor nationwide, but there are others. They can sell you similar cylinders close to the same size or at least the same capacity as the original. Hope that helps you.

Re: Compressed air canister for spare????
Yes, compresed air cylinders all have a life span. Some have dates stamped on them. These types of cylinders can be refilled as long as the hydro dates are good. Other compressed gas cylinders like the ones in this thread are not meant to be reused. They are disposable, one and done. I would be surprised to find a supplier that would refill it, especially one that is that old. Best to get a new refill bottle in case of a flat and keep the original for display purposes. Hope that helps.

I would feel more comfortable with the pump on a road trip.
