Wheel Fitment
I have a 1990 formula and want to put an 8"wide wheel on it. It also has a 0mm offset. Will this wheel stick out past the fender? Also what size tire should i run with an 8" wide wheel?
Thanks!

Re: Wheel Fitment
It will fit fine.
Size depends a lot on the wheel diameter, but will be around a 245 width for most setups

Re: Wheel Fitment
Aight guys need some wheel suggestions that fit my car with no spacers. Currently have an IROC with 16” stock wheels and a SS4 baer brake upgrade on front and rear and my differential is a 9 bolt. I ended up using a 0.625 inch spacer to clear the rear rim spokes from the caliper. I also have coil over conversion on front and rear. Just want some suggestions, my car will be for road racing and auto x.

Re: Wheel Fitment
I think you can go as wide as 315 on the back of a third gen F-body without modifying anything. I'm pretty sure the 17x11 OE replicas and the like will fit these cars without issue. They definitely fit the fourth generation F-bodies and as I recall, they will also work on third generation cars just as well.

Re: Wheel Fitment
Using 17"x11" wheels on a third or fourth generation F-body, you will not need spacers to go up to 315/35/R17's. However, you can get 335's on 17x11" wheels. If you go up to 335's you will probably have to cut off the bump stops and hammer the inner wheel well to make them clear. If you use spacers on 335's they'll stick out way too far.

335's will not fit properly, even when tubbed. I went through this ordeal years ago in hopes of running the Z07 C6 wheel. Even when fully tubbed, a 335 tire stuck outside the fender and hit the pan hard rod mount. It would take major suspension surgery to make work and these cars start to look goofy with rubber wider than 305 out back. You're better off getting stickier rubber to make up for width.
