want a cookie? lol. actually, the 84ish t/a's with the formula hood had a airbox setup like that. maybe you could check it out and see if you could adapt one to the cowl.

I have it, no pic sorry, but I don't think it's worth it. I would fab your own box sealing an open element to the cowl you have, just remember to consider rain although you may already have some problems with that. Cool air w/o restriction sounds like a winner.

You can buy airboxes and Ram Air Box actually makes a unit that will hook up to the cowl... but I bet you could fab one up real easy out of some sheet aluminum, pop rivets, and some foam or rubber to seal it to the hood. Go find a production air box and model your design after that. Should'nt be too difficult.

Here's a pic of Moroso's air pan. Maybe that'll give you some ideas.

OMG you just saved my butt!!!

i was just checking out some random threads that peaked my interest and here it is, the answer to my problem!!!

i picked up a 2nd gen shaker scoop about a year ago, i had been looking for a simple way to mount it to my tbi .... and there it was.. i know that it wouldnt have taken a genius to find it, but i am a dork...

the moroso air pan ... that is exactly what ive been looking for!!

i guess that i am just so happy about it because the answer basically just jumped into my lap..

the pic below is basically the same as the one i have, only mine is in better condition...

man!!! that made my day... thanks guys!!:lala: :lala: :lala: :lala:
