Which electric cut out to get and how much. Also where to buy and how good are they.

I went with the McCord Power Plate II....ran me 100 bucks....I love it....it's really awesome. Works fantastic, great seal...you can order them off of thee site: http://www.mccordcg.com/mpp/mpp.htm

i want one... how difficult was the install on the McCords? im thinking about headers and while i have the exhaust before the cat off i might as well throw on some cut outs

The installation....really...isn't that hard. I had to take all of my passenger seats out.....and pry up the carpet. Underneath the back passenger seat.....there is a metal plug that has to be knocked out. I ran all of my wires through there.....and up through my console.....I had about 2 hours into doing it....but..it relaly payed off..it's great!

I got mine for just sound.....power gains are minimal.....it sounds awesome when your drivng down the road..at idle..it dosen't sound all that good..but..when your cruzin...aww...it's great

I had mine installed after the cats (both removed).....almost directly underneath the back passenger set in the Intermediate pipe.....some people put them before there cats too though...

The whole idea of a cutout is to have it before the cat so that it acts like a dump or open headers... with absolutely no restriction at all. Depending on how well you grease your state inspector's palms it may or may not pass inspection. I give my guy a $15 "tip" every time. Last year he didn't even open the hood

I see what ur sayin.....but....with no cats..I don't think it really matters....
