Az Guys!!! We Need You...
ok guys. well...as im sure all u know.. 2 fast 2 furious *or insert your version here* is opening june 6th. for ****s and giggles. AZFBA is going to be going to the opening night of this movie.. to kinda.. well .. make the ricers remember whos the boss..
here is the txt from the AZFBA site...
brought up an idea at the board members meeting that went over pretty well. A small AZFBA event including a caravan to a movie theater on opening night of 2 Fast 2 Furious where parking lots will be abound with ricers. I think that 10+ fbodies cruising in simultaneously will turn some heads and remind ricers of their place (or lack thereof) on the streets.
Opening night is June 6th, and all we need to do is hop on to movies.com to reserve tickets ahead of time. There is no chance to get tickets at the window on opening night, but if we reserve at least a few days in advance. I think tickets go on sale this Friday at movies.com
The biggest concentration of ricers is on Bell road, and I guarantee there will be hundreds of them at the Bell Rd. movie theater right off the 51 North. (32nd st. and Bell).
HOWEVER, I know that many live too far away, so should we consider a more Central location like The Camelback Esplanade at 24th St. and Camelback?
What about the AMC 30 off of the 101 and the I-17? That place will be #2 on the "most packed with ricers list."
Another option would be AZ Mills as I'm sure there'd be a few showing up there.
I feel bad because we haven't had an event close to the southeast fellas in AJ/Mesa/Tukee/Chandler.
What is everyone's thoughts on this?
ok.. I WANT some 3rd gens there as well. there is goign to be 5 3rd gens as far as i know.. but i know u guys can show up to.. i dont want to here the excuse "i dotn want to pay to see that movie" or some other BS like that.. if u dont.. fine.. show up.. and u can go on gaurd duty... we wil give u a 6 pack and u get to sit
and :lala: but please RSVP on this post ASAP.. so i can get back to the AZFBA admin to let them know on how many to count on. I hope to see everyone there.. and stop by and say hi.. im the 1 in the red iroc with the flame job.. and open cut outs.. on ET streets and purging the NNNAAAWWWWSSS!!! haha

What time is this happening? I have to go to the east side (Power Rd) to pick up my car after work.
No racing for me though. My car is running lean and I need to get my fuel pump installed before I can go WOT again. I would like to check out some other nice 3rd gens too.
Don't know if I will see the movie though.

Hey, if someone can get me a good estimate on what time this is going to be happeing I may have a LOT of f-bodies that want to go. June 6-8 I got a thirdgen gathering going (we are supposed to show up at Firebird) and I'm thinking the timing is right we may be able to do the dragstrip earlier in the afternoon and then caravan over to mills afterword. I have a funny feeling that the guys will be interested. Let me know ASAP!!! so I can post on my other threads.

You guys need to download the R icer Sound
and burn it onto a CD.
My brother plays it in his 'big 'ol truck' whenever a R icer pulls up next to him.

Alright, I'll make sure I ask the people that are going to FireBird if they may want to be a part of this. If they do, I think we may have them QUITE outnumbered.....
And ohh yeah, that sound clip is halarious...I usually just have my passenger make motions like he's reving a dirtbike when one pulls up next to me....:lala:

Thought more people would hang out in the parking lot rather than going to see that lame movie.
Now that I think about it, sitting in a parking lot when it's still 100 degrees outside doesn't sound like fun to me. Maybe I will make the next gathering.
AZIROC,
Once I get my pump in and the wet kit installed, I want a shot at you. Probably won't be until late summer or fall but I want to get my request in now. I have too much going on the next couple of months to make this sooner.

92TA385.. ok. u got urself a deal.. but u have to let me atleast get the car into the shop for a tune up/new chip. i go to a dyno on june 21st to see what my readings on a/f and stuff are (really dont care about the hp/tq #'s.. cuase i know they will be even more once i fix all the "little things" that need to be fixed. but if ur giving me a couple of months.. does that mean i have to hold off on my procharger/intercooler (and 100 shot)?? or can go ahead and get that installed too

AZIROC,
I am a "run what your brung" guy. I won't feel bad if I lost to any car with two power adders.
I am running a stroker with all forged internals. Similar to yours but less cubes but more compression. I have an NX plate system sitting in a box. Gotta get my fuel system up to speed before I even think about nitrous. Traction hasn't been an issue for my car but I put an adjustable torque arm on, just in case. I will probably get some LCAs soon too.
My old setup was a 9lb paxton on a stock internal L98. Car was good for very low 12s. So, I know a few things about forced induction on these cars.
One question though, why do you want to mess with a supercharger when you run a 126 mph? Seems like you have servere traction issues that need to be addressed first.

AZIROC,
You misunderstood my post.
I will run you with whatever combo you have on your car at the time. I could careless if you were S/C and running a 300 shot, I would still run you, regardless if I couldn't keep up. Like I said, run what ya brung.

Only show me and my buddies could get tickets for was the 10:10 showing. When I got there, though, I parked with the AZFBA (they were already parked) Gah, wish I had a camera...those things were darn purdy....
