L98 Ported head/cam Hotcam Stock tune Dyno numbers

I went and dynoed today. Stock runners, stock ported and siamesed base, stock injectors, stock programming, stock ported heads, headers, stock L98 bottom end with 106K on the clock.
288.4rwhp
351.4rwtq

Doesn't sound to bad without tuning. Do you have the A/F ratio readout from the dyno run to see just where your tune is at?

It was rich towards the bottom and ideal towards the mid/high range with 45psi fuel pressure.

That sounds about right. Larger cams need the VE (speed density) or MAF transfer CFM-to-voltage ratio lowered in the idle-to-low RPM areas until the engine comes "on cam". Sounds like it shouldn't be to hard to tune in some more low end throttle response for the new combo. Good job!

How about some more numbers to get an idea of what the overall curve looks like? Rpms?
Those are great numbers for a basically stock engine. Think you can get 12s off of that?

The peek hp number was a TPI limited 4400rpm on hp,although it carried over 275rwhp through 5300rpm. The torque peeks around 3900rpm and stays over 325lbft from 2600 through 4600rpm.

The timing and fuel curve was killing it on top too. I am sure it will carry out a little further with a good tune.

I am hopefull it will go 12.9s with a good launch as it sits and go considerably faster with an optimal tune.

Thank you for the compliments everyone.

Thanks guys. I am pretty pleased with it so far. We'll see what the track proves.

Good luck to all and happy new year!

I have Corvette heads, and SLP 1 3/4" headers with a T56, so that gives you a similar baseline to compare your numbers too.

What runners were you running on that run?

I really like your car and it is actually one of the reasons I took on this project. I just wanted to run with the LS1s at the track with a tpi.

He had TPIS large tube runners when he dynoed, and ran the 12.80 number. Now he has the SLP fully siamesed runners but no track times or dyno numbers yet.

After seeing your results from the siamese mod, I was thinking of doing the same thing. 288HP at 4400 RPM is really good without spending a fortune on an intake.

Can you please give me your horsepower numbers at some rpm points so I can see the shape of the curve.

I really couldn't tell much from the lower RPM range since it is an auto. It just shifts down to 2nd until around 3500rpm.
