would it be possible to put a fan inside the tubing that leads into the intake to create some sorda turbo, or at least make it work like ram air when at slow speeds. I'm just curious if this would do anything or damage the engine. Just an idea.

get yourself a power inverter and hook up a leaf blower to your car and turn it on with a switch inside the car. insta-turbo man!...
j/k
in all honesty it wont help on such a small level.

They actually make something like your talking about. It's called an E-Ram, its a little compressor that goes in the air tubing and kicks on at WOT....but DO NOT buy one. They do nothing on big engines and they only add 5-15 HP on like Neons' and other 4 cyl.

Grab a big battery, overclock (overvoltage) the leaf blower depending on rpm and spray more fuel. You'll go through batteries like guys go through N2o bottles. I wonder if anybody was just farting around and actualy did do this with positive results. Would be funny but like already posted, won't help with a large displacement engine. There's just too much air to compress.

Now wait, seriouselly I've helped a friend try this, we were ****ing around with ideas like O2 direct injection, Fans, water, coolers, and leaf blowers. we tried it using a gas powered 220 MPH wind Blower for commercial lawn services... On his V8 Lt1 1996 Camaro. We removed the hood, and manufactured a little tube to connect the end of the leaf blower to the front of the TPI. the throttle cable was connected to a choke cable from inside the car, and the leaf blower itself was sat inside wedged between the battery and the AC compressor.
Its too bad we didnt Dyno it or anything, and we couldnt go really fast because the damn thing was shaking and was goina fall off, and there was no hood so we just drove it around the block, but when I pulled that Cable and that blower went zzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ The car would JUMP forward a little then he would give it a LiTTLE gas and then WOT and the damn car Fishtailed and took off like you wouldnt beleive... we almost lost a leaf blower that day! needless to say, it was a fun experiment, and if only we could get it to sit still prolly would have had somthing... heh... but those things use ALOT of gas the price of keeping that thing full would have cost more than nitrous anyways.
But it worked, to an extent, adding ALOT of low end torque apparently.

This thread reminds me of this thread, and especially This thread on the same exact subject.
I agree with chevyken from the other thread like this, you would be better off putting a shop vac in the hatch, and duct taping its hose to the exhaust pipe.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY **** I JUST FELL OFF MY CHAIR!!!:sillylol: :lala:
Whos car is that? I wonder if it did anything? I especially like the "high flow air filtration system" (wire mesh).
