engine smoking
(1985 Iroc-z H.0. 305) So since i started this car 2 week ago, after about 10 years of sitting from the past owner. ive noticed that when i start the car up and let it idle, smoke starts coming out the engine 10 minutes later. so i say to my self. iight thats probably just oil on the manifolds heating up. So later on, i gunk up all the grease on the engine. then i go to start the car the next morning. and next thing you know the engine light turns on and its smoking again, I cant seem to know the problem. can you guys help me with this. thanks

Re: engine smoking
What color is the smoke & can you tell what area it's coming from?

Re: engine smoking
Nope it aint a blown head gasket, because when i check the coolant, none of it is mixed with oil what so ever. And back by the tail pipes the exaust just looks like regular smoke, none of it is white and puffy
