You need new motor mounts and I think they ahve to be reposisitoned as well. Check out the V6 board for that.

Mounts from the 2.8 cannot be used, they are very different. You can buy new v8 rubber mounts for 20 dollars for both sides at your local parts store (I got mine from autozone for $20). You will need to move your motor mounts all the way to the front, the v6 are towards the back and you will need to bend your brake line.

You may be able to use the chassis half from the V6 for the V8 (same concept, same shape, different set of bolt holes as mentioned above), but the engine half without a doubt is different.

Perfect time for poly mounts. Wish I had done that.

how i got my bolts in that litte S***** hole is i took a swivel socket and put some wheel bearing grease on it and played around with it untill it caught on. Then i took a crows foot and a 3/8 air ratched and tightend it.
Or you can just drop the front control arms and it would be a piece of cake. thats what i would do now thinking about it. You have to replace the springs anyway.

when i did my swap i tried the v6 one but it didnt work. I used one from my donnor 1989 camaro. So you most likely will need a new crossmember

Oh by the way the v6 tranny will not bolt up to a v8 because the bell housing is smaller

When you go to do those mounts, I used a 15mm socket on a 3/8 univeral with about 10 inches of extension. Worked like a charm on the top two. for the bottom one, i jsut bent a 15mm wrench with a torch and a vise and put uit through the bottom to get on it.
