Atomic ls efi
Hi folks , I’ve bought a atomic ls efi system for my ls3 . Yes I realize it’s now discontinued but it’s all I have . Does anybody have one up and running? Mine is a cammed ls3 that put down 500 to the tires in a camaro it was pulled from .... it runs ok up to but I’m having low speed driving problems . Thx gta

I’m honestly wondering if I should toss the entire thing and go Holley ... the support is non existent sadly

Toss the Atomic. You can't do fine tuning with it.

Yeah can’t toss , bought it long time ago , I got it running and driving well , it’d somewhat adjustable, I can move spark around , there are 3 fuel tables to start with and the ecm has learned and adjusted well .
im extremely disappointed that MSD and Holley offer no support whatsoever, I’ve spent hours on phone only to be met with “ we don’t support that anymore” . Surely I can’t be the only one 🤷♂️ Lol maybe I am . Oh well it cost a lot back then and it’s the only thing I have . I will make it work I’m used to figuring out things .
Sadly this entire project was honestly a huge waste of cash and time , but they mostly all are .

Re: Atomic ls efi
Quick trip ,
I can only assume that you have had some experience with this particular type of ecm ? Yeah I know it’s not perfect but it’s actually not too bad . As I have the dyno graphs from when it was tuned with the stock ecm it would be interesting to see via dyno were it lands now ,
it’s something I may do this summer

Full throttle is easy, that's not the real test. Part throttle and drivability are the tough part and that's what you're complaining about. The Atomic is a "dumbed down" system that doesn't give you the ability to do detailed tuning to refine those things. I'm guessing your engine is kinda rowdy and you need custom tuning to work out the kinks. I'll be surprised if the Atomic has enough features to get you there.

Yeah me too . After I get it on a dyno I will have a good idea what it’s actually doing . I’ve been lucky it’s doesn’t stall like a lot of people had trouble with but no doubt . It’s not very tun-able but yeah I’m thinking if she don’t provide the known numbers or close to em , I will have to start again 🤷♂️ With a Holley as at least they have support

Re: Atomic ls efi
Well I honestly forgot about this post , I should update . I found the problem with the atomic ls system . There was a crossed wire in the MSD harness. I contacted the designer of the system and together we diagnosed it and with s simple pin swap the system is working very well .
I did end up on a chassis dyno , the AF ratio was spot on and it matched the hp and tq numbers when it was in the camaro!
over all it’s been running pretty darn good for s cammed engine. I’m a bit worried about parts as it’s no longer available but for the meantime I will use and enjoy it . 👍 never give up
