Hey, hope its not too late, but if it is a Z28 does it still have the steering wheel and horn button? Shape? Also, was it a stick or automatic car? Thanks much.

he just came by a bit ago this morning to pick up more junk metal from me that im teading to him for parts etc

and he said i can take anything i want off the car and i have until this evening. to do so because he is still collecting junk for the load to the shredder/.

700r4 car

it has z28 dash and the places on the rocker GFX for the badges but are removed so its most lilkely a true Z28 in which was really super common in 84 i know it also has the Z28 hood with block off plates in it early style which is correct as well.

stock steering wheel yes and button is removed but may be in the car or i may have an 82 83 84 one around here somewhere probably


im going there in a bit to pull some under hood stuff like wiper motor and cruise servo unit and such,

and dash cluster(v-8 auto trans) and shifter bezel plate assembly and sunvisors if good(t tops and black)dunno what else


update 11:00 AM:

ok considering the crappy gloomy rainy weather here now.. i just got back here with a load of parts that ive pulled including:

the instrument v-8 auto tach cluster and bezel, 85 mph double pointer with KPH also with and tach and all guages, nice shape no breaks

'84 700r4 shifter bezel top assembly and handle and white plastic internal stick, 85-up is different; no breaks. basically a one year deal here for 700r4 84 camaros..

i tried to pull roof t bar steel parts but cant seem to get them to come off.. i dont know how to... phillips screws removed doesnt help..

factory 84 CC1 t top related black interior plastic pieces; one front pillar panel missing, no breaks in any.

sony explode 6x9 speakers pair; red colored; three way; 270 watt; like brand new mint condition literally...

door panel top ledges pair black not broken

entire light gray carpeted console assembly 82 83 84; not broken

nice taillights early style (large pattern like late 70s style) no breaks.

rear hatch latch assembly, non-power, may have lock sylinder assembly too. if i can find a key for it.

82 84 dash radio and HVAC controls bezel surround; no breaks

aftermarket black and metal surround cage thing for stock radio hole for smaller aftermarket CD players etc.


and many other items..


i did the best i could do with rain and no way to raise up the poor car

at least the car is able to donate many things and not totally be wasted..

sort of..


any other ideas on what i should check that im forgetting?


will trade any for some parts like 82 83 firebird 200c shifter and bezel

and pass side t/a front fender

driv side firebird rear quarter skin

Are you saying it has a crack free dash? If so snatch that ill take it for sure. Also if the black plastics are good take those. People on here are always wanting black interior

i did remove the pad to help get to the cluster better and i didnt see any cracks but the driver side corner is ate up
so i left it laying in the car because im sure no one wants a pad with a bad corner. i know i wouldnt..


yeah all the black pieces are good nothing broken
are still in my truck
it is full of parts still i need to clean it out hmmm



anything that had any damage i didnt remove or left in the car. i already dont have thje space for good parts let alone bad ones... if you saw my place you would understand what i mean.

parts in attic, basement, building,, shed, shop, house, everywhere.. years and years of it too much, disaster.. cars trucks vans you name it 1950s up

i should have an early z28 horn cap around here somewhere there was none in the car that i could find

i have parted at least a couple 82 83 84 Z's in the past i know

but matter of finding it/one cap around here may prove very difficult on command.. hmm..

ok just got back again from checking steering wheel and front grilles and such

front stuff like grilles and gfx has been pulled by someone else already

and steering wheel is pretty worn.. i wouldnt want it if i were you.

i pretty much have pulled everything good that i can see inside and out other than sheetmetal and big stuff

Any chance this car had a dual snorkel air cleaner. Was it a Z28 5.0 liter H.O. ?
