Just wanted to drop a line and let you guys know we just got in our A/C line kits for 3rd Gen LS conversions. This will allow you to connect your LS1 A/C Compressor to your 3rd Gen Condenser. Here is a link to it... http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/ls...passkit-1.aspx
You will have to use the preasure switch that is on the 3rd Gen dryer, but on the high side which is the small metal line you will hvae to use the 4th Gen switch which is a 3 wire connector.
This kit wont work, different setup, is there a demand for these? How bout this, if I can get 10 orders for the LT1 A/C Line kit I will sell them for $125 each instead of $149. Let me know...
Nice. Almost identical to what I made up save for I used 4th gen engine side and third gen chassis side and welded them together. This makes it a hella lot easier for future swappers and even though I have all the tools to do what i did, scrounging for used 4th gen ac lines was a pita and I would have jumped all over these if I had the option.

Why would you have to use the 4th gen switch? What will this be wired to?
Have you verified this will work when using stock f-body manifolds? I would like to use them but what if they don't fit...
On another note, what supercharger is that? LM Speed?

Myself, I have to do something different since I have a 4th gen condensor in my car.

Okay, I'm still confused (not that hard to do).
Your picture shows the 3rd gen switch connector hanging loose. And, I still don't see the LS1 switch or where it would go.

Granted you could do that, but from my understanding if you provide +12v to the wire which tells the PCM that the compressor is on the PCM will do its job of turning on fans and managing idle. Of course this means it can't turn the compressor off but avoids using another pressure sensor.
I have not tested this myself but will be shortly.
Im thinking you could eliminate all of the 3rd gen switches all together. I mean...thats how Im running my a/c set up, except I used all stock LS1 hoses and parts.
Wiring is SOOOO simple compared to the 3rd gen set up with hi and low pressure switches. Since the PCM tells the a/c compressor what to do, you really only have to wire the PCM a/c request wire to the wire from your stock HVAC controls that would normally trigger the 3rd gen a/c. The PCM handles the rest...cycling, fans, idle....everything. Basically if I want to disable my a/c, I just disconnected one wire up by the HVAC box. The "trigger wire" from the 3rd gen wiring is the wire that comes into the low pressure switch I believe.
The HVAC wiring in our cars is self contained so its easy to work with. And the LS1 harness contains the A/C wires already. Its a cake walk from there. Only hiccup there could be if the hard parts (drier/evap/condenser) function differently on the 3rd gen...then maybe you'd need the low pressure switch. But I dont think you will.
On a side note...I kinda wish these lines were around back when I did mine. I probably would have avoided building my own HVAC box and going through all that mess.

He doesnt have any of the low pressure switches screwed into the drier...but he's saying you'd put the thirdgen low pressure switch in the stock location....rear side of the drier.
The 4th gen switch can be seen in the picture. Look down sorta next to the headers. Its screwed into that hard line that snakes up the chassis rail and comes up to the evap. Its just the switch a plug..wires are cut.
The black cap on the front of the drier is the low pressure connection, and the cap on the hardline is the high pressure connection.

I'm not sure about that but I'm going to be running a set of lines I'm having made going to the 3rd gen dryer but using a 4th gen condensor and I'll have the 4th gen switch in the correct line so I can hook it to the PCM.

This will NOT work if you use the stock f-body exhaust manifolds. Please properly describe the item on your website so others aren't misled.
so you use the 3rd gen condenser.. wut accumulator would you use ? and is there any way to use the 4th gen hvac controls?
You will use the 3rd Gen accumulator, if you want to use the 4th Gen HVAC you will have to use a 4th Gen A/C box and you might as well put a 4th Gen dash in it like this... See Attached

Some 3rd Gen's did not have a preasure switch, you will have to use one from a 3rd gen that does have it.

Its not the only way to run full 4th gen a/c...and in my opinion not the easiest ....unless you are already doing the dash swap, then there is def a good reason to try to fit the whole box.
However...if your lines were available, I probably would have gone with them instead of what I did.
I actually gave thought to cutting my firewall and working in the 4th gen HVAC box. Just didnt want to do that much cutting on the firewall.
I just updated the website... sucks they won't work with factory manifolds

I am working on a compressor block/hoses that will work with the factory manifolds. Do you know the threads need to connect to the dryer and the condensor? I have the originals here but I don't know the threads and sizes.
I also used my third gen chassis side, and my LS1 compressor. With my Speartech wiring harness my ac is controlled with the stock HVAC controls. I welded the 3rd gen fittings on the 4th gen lines to hook it up. I have heard the lines are backwards on the condensor itself, 3rd gen versus 4th gen. Does anyone know anything about that? I dont want mine to crap out on me.
