low impedance injectors?
I found a set of low impedance injectors for sale. would I be able to wire resistors in the wiring just like hondas do using dsm blue tops? They are bosch style with ev1 connectors

Re: low impedance injectors?
I just thought that was why resistors are put into the wiring, but if it still compromises the injectors then why spend double

Re: low impedance injectors?
I can tell you from my experience low impedance injectors do a great job of idle control and large flow numbers its they way they peak and hold that allows better control at short bursts (duty cycle) . Im not enough of a electrical nut to say for sure it will hurt them only that with my experience they don't take abuse well, voltage spikes incorrect voltage ect.. almost surely kills them.
think of it this way you adding a resistor so the driver in the pcm isnt shorted correct? yet your lowing the voltage to the injectors by doing this. its the ground side but its still the voltage to create the field your changing much more than you think

Re: low impedance injectors?
The reason for the resistor, as it was explained to me, was to make the voltage actually spike. Then it levels out through the duty cycle. It's a little late for me to go digging into my archives to cite it.
As for the resistors, I was just going to use 2 honda resistors 1 for each bank. It probably wouldn't be the correct resistance then. I thought they would've been better for the performance too, that's why I was happy to find them more affordable.

Re: low impedance injectors?
it's a little late now, I found a balanced set of saturated style injectors instead. The way it was sounding, it probably wouldn't have settled with the chevy system. I was also thinking it would be kind of unique with the resistor boxes sitting on parrallel sides. Thank you for the input though.

Re: low impedance injectors?
I did some reading in one of my books. The peak and holds actually have 2 different circuits. The Low impedance injectors are the same as regular saturation except the resistor is remote for the injectors. The gain that I can think of is less heat within the injector, thinking that a place of large resistance creates heat.
