engine bay is the only spot i havent even touched. i think it be more worth while to throw in a new engine. yeah i have been pondering the fact of getting that spoiler removed. i loved in 2002 now im kinda gettin sick of it.

i agree..that 2nd spoiler needs to go. either throw the 91-92 z28 style on there.. or get the 5" iroc spoiler.

I think the add on spoiler has to go also. it looks good but not my style. i'm adding a 91-92 z28 spoiler to my Rs and I think its gonna look pretty good.

Re: my 87 iroc-z 100 point show car work in progress. what do u think
Since you ask, his car, though it's physically clean, it's borderline "cheese" (imo).
That spoiler looks awefull, the hood has got to go, and I don't like the black painted stripes on the original Iroc wheels.
There's nothing more beautifull to me than a prestine Iroc in "original" condition.
Your "show" car would fit in well in a sea of cooley imports.

Re: my 87 iroc-z 100 point show car work in progress. what do u think
I don't mind the wheels so much. The white on white is a little...bleh...especially if Im correct and the dashpad is also white. I would of went with a dark color to contrast the white exterior but to each his own. The daytona? style hood still seems very 80s...but for the most part our cars are 80s....so it fits somewhat, I think a 3" cowl would of looked much much better. The spoilers well...everyone else has already let you know about them.

The funky spoiler has to go. I'd say ditch the hood but I've seen them look good in certain situations. Defiantly lose that spoiler though, keep the stock one!

Looks pretty nice, but I agree with most of the above comments on the spoilers and hood. I like the seats, even though I would never do it in one of mine
So with a 1000 point "show car" how well do you do with un-detailed engine compartment? What show circuit are you planning on running this in?

I think it looked great before. I just hate that tacky spoiler. The Daytona IROC hood is a little ... eh... depends on the car. Still a clean car and the interior looks awesome.
Like I said, I just hate the spoiler. It ruins the car to me. The rest of it is nice and clean and quite nice. I dig it.

Nice car, definitely need to get rid of the extra spoiler and the hood. If your trying to get a 100 point show car, I recommend to go all original. A lot more people like to see more originality than custom on these cars now.

i love the white camaros to start, i like the daytona hood myself. very clean interior and iroc rims. nice job with the transformation. i myself like the 5'' spoiler over the fire bird wing. let's see some pic of the engine bay when your done..
and a little drop would really clean it up too.

OK. Here's a thought. It's your car.
Wow, now that that was said. I like the black stripe on the wheels. Car looks very clean, and I'm not surprised you are having good luck at the shows.

Re: my 87 iroc-z 100 point show car work in progress. what do u think
It's different for sure... it'll always tweak a pure 3rd gen fan I bet.
I like the hood, wish it would have finished "flatter" for the last 5-6 inches... the curl at the back is the only part the "breaks up the lines".
The tale is a hard look to me... I can see it working a few different ways but... yikes that would all take some work.
People saying remove the stock one aren't thinking how abruptly these cars end without a fin. You'd really have to build up and square the back end just a hair to consider a removal and inching back to what you have.... in other words Firebird the tail?

First, as long as you like it thats all that matters but since you asked, just like almost everyone ealse I'd say get rid of the wing and leave the stock one. Too late for the seats so I'll just say keep 'em clean. The hood isn't so bad I'm sure it would look better once the wing is gone.
Let us know when you have pics of the engine bay and good luck at the shows, hope you get even more trophies.

Re: my 87 iroc-z 100 point show car work in progress. what do u think
cars looks good.
I would have kept the daytona hood just would loss the black stripe down the side of the cowl.
keep stock spoiler its the best one for the car,i personally dont like the high rise ones except for the 5" version of the stock one.
the black line in the rims looked fine too.
Keep up the good work.

Definately better w/o the extra spoiler.
I like how the daytona hood looks on the car.
I do agree, the front might be lowered 1". Not more then that however. The rear sits nice as is.

I cant lower it. its basically impossible to get out of my driveway as it is. and i have a small incline. i can only back out in one direction or the chin hits. its terrible trying to get out.

Your car looks awesome just the way it is!! I love it!!! I'm going to have the same problem with my Camaro once I get it done. I might get some small boards to put at the end of my driveway to raise the car high enough to clear the curb. I'll just need to hide the boards so noone takes them.
