SNJ TPI help needed

I got an 85 IROC that someone brutalized. Need help figuring out where the wiring is supposed to go and what's missing and wrong with the beastie.
I got connectors that go nowhere, sensors without connectors and a fan with nothing but a hotwire. The car runs SUPER rich and will not rev at all.

Re: SNJ TPI help needed

There could be multiple issues , old injectors, bad cts, tps maf. Its hard to say unless you go through fix the gremlin issues with the harness and go from there. The 85 1226780 is a poor design ecm. Putting a 86-89 harness and a 1227165 ecm is one of the best upgrades you can do to a 85 IMO. The 870s slow baud rate , slow response . just something to ponder.

By accessing the Problems/Help/Suggestion/Comments forum on this website, and not hijacking someone else's thread that has nothing to do with what your asking...

Re: SNJ TPI help needed

Thanks for the replies.
Tuned, while I like your idea, I'm just trying to get this running well enough to sell it.
Jersey89, I'm in Millville.
When I got it, the tranny(700R4) was shot. Got that replaced and it seems to be running a little better oddly enough. New plugs helped a bit but still running way rich.

Re: SNJ TPI help needed

You might try seeing if you can blink any trouble codes. Or download winaldl so you can see sensor data, cts, maf, cts . Lack of communication would indicate a bad ecm.

That winaldl looks interesting. Too bad I have no laptop. Might try to borrow one.
Will try to blink the codes.
