I know why. All the Maniacs are driving Jeeps. Over at www.northeastonlinewheelers.org, (a 4wheeling board I belong to) seems like most of the guys there are from ME.

Hey guys
I am from maine, as you already know
Right now I am working on my camaro. When I am finished I am hoping it will have a dana 44 corvette rear end, viper transmission, and a twin turbo northstar engine. right now I have the engine and the rearend.
Everything probably won't be done for a another year or so.
Any of you guys goto the Boney eagle car show?
Last year it seemed pretty sh*ty. It was my first year going there.
Well hope everyone is doing well.
see ya around

Trux, sounds like a good plan.....I am hopping to get the 330 hp vortec in mine this spring...
I do go to the Bonney Eagle car show...i have been for the past four years or so...last year was the worst year I have ever seen because they redid all the fields and they didn't want anybody on them....so nothing was grouped together..I hope it will be better this year...

i hated the bonny eagle car show last year too. too unorganized. did any of you happen to see a red '68 camaro with a 350 that runs on (i think) 107 octane? it's known as the "bad bow tie" camaro because of his license plate. BD BO TI.
i would go to this years, but i don't know how to get there. i went in a friends car last year.
EDIT: forgot to mention that the "bad bow tie" camaro is my uncles

Umm...
I am not even sure where it is. Right now my car is not drivable. If it were and the nationals were closer I would probably go. Isn't it in North carolina or something?
Should have a northeast meeting

Hey all right! There are some other people from Maine on here! Hehe, I've run into one or two before, but it's nice to know there are a few of us here I live in Bangor, but right now I'm at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie NY, and my TA is sleeping in the garage I can't wait for spring break, I wanna drive! lol Anybody from the Bangor area on here? If so we should try and meet up sometime. I've got the black and gold '84 TA in the sig, as well as a white '89 Buick Reatta, and sometimes in the summer I drive my dad's '00 Maple Red 6 speed TA (just in case someone from the area has seen any of those cars on the road ) Anyway, just thought I'd jump in on this post, since there aren't many from Maine!
-Paul
P.S. If anyone is from the Bangor area, check out http://www.dynamicperformance.org It's a car club in Bangor and I know the guy who has the '95 Z28

Sorry about that C-Rolla I didn't mean to offend you or anyone in the Bangor club. I personally apperciate and admire you guys. I just know that there are a lot of "ricers" who have no clue what they are doing with cars and such, and there is a general stereotype on this board about "ricers". It was wrong of me to add you guys to the stereotyped group, because from what I know of you (from Noah and a mutual friend of his and mine) you guys are nothing like most of the typical "ricers"! I very much admire what you guys (and girls) have done to your cars, and I really didn't mean to offend you! Honestly! I also have to respect the fact that a foreign four cylinder can (if properly modded) kick my Trans Am's *** so I am really not trying to be a jerk, and I hope you can accept my appology!
-Paul
P.S. I really am sorry!
edit: I edited my previous post, sorry for the offence
