Today is a very sad day Dale Earnhardt died today after his last lap crash at the onpening event of NASCAR. He was my personal fav. and I will miss him. I know this post is not thirdgen realted but in my mind I know he had tons of fans here. The only reson he wasnt up front was that he was blocking for his teammate and son. I think that this IS the worst death ever in NASCAR history.
I hope this link is a place where other fans can come to pay respect to this great driver.
My simpathy to his family

I will truly miss him. He made the sport what it is today. We all owe him a big debt in the world of motorsports. He supplied a great channel for my father and I to talk and debate. For this we cannot forget him.

My deepest sympathy for his family and fans.

I to will miss Dale. My favorite and one of the all time best drivers in history. Today just showed how unselfish he really was by blocking the field for his driver and son. Prayers go out to the families. I am just glad I was able to see him race through his career and to be able to say I saw one of the great ones race.
