Sorry, a good deal if I didn't have to have it cut down 2" and re-balanced for an additional $90.

Why do you have to cut it? 6spd?

He wouldn't have to cut it for a 6sp. Must be something else.

Wrong. I do have to cut it for my 6 spd. Approx. 2". I have an aftermarket T56 from spohn.

I wasn't aware that the aftermarket ones required the driveshaft to be shortened. I guess you learn something new every day. As for the 93-97 boxes, the driveshaft is the same as the 5-speed and the automatic, except for the 82 (maybe 83) automatics. I put the driveshaft out of my 5-speed car in my GTA when the u-joints went bad and that same shaft was in there with the 6-speed, until the LS1 aluminum shaft went in. What do you do for a torque arm with the aftermarket? Are you just stuck using an aftermarket (like Spohn) torque arm or is there a way to do it on the cheap? When I converted my car, I didn't want to drop the extra coin for an aftermarket torque arm, so I just re-used the stock one. About 1 year later, I got my aftermarket onet to take the pivot off of the rear extension housing of the tranny. Now all I have to do is install it.

I slid the bushing back on the TQ arm 2" and cut off the excess. Now since I've busted my stock tq arm I'm using a Jegster that's shorter and bolts to the chassis.

85C4 - you have a PM.
