TFS cam Duration at 050 inch Lift 230 int./234 exh.

Re: Safe shot for my setup

Stock 350s have been taking 150 shots many times. Main thing is to run colder plugs, pull out timing, and make sure your mixtures are correct.

Re: Safe shot for my setup

plugs will be around Autolite 24's, are they correct? timing and mixture will be set with dyno runs

Re: Safe shot for my setup

No clue about plugs.

Basic tune with the timing is 2* pulled out for every 50 hp used.

Re: Safe shot for my setup

should handle a 150 wet shot no problem. Make sure your running a stock chip. pull 4-6 degrees of timing and put a set of colder solid core plugs(no bosch platinum+2 or anything like that. stick with autolite's). i ran over 150 lbs of N20 through an unknown milage L98 with the 150hp n20 jets and 75hp fuel jets. ran like a raped ape. good luck and enjoy!

Re: Safe shot for my setup

well i do not have stock chip as engine is controlled with Megasquirt.
pull timing means add or retract (sorry for this simple question byt my technical english is still not that good)

and back to plugs, Autolites 24 are ok or should i switch to different number ?

stock are NGK UR4 (same as Autolites 24 as i recon) so should i go 1 or 2 level colder

best regards

Re: Safe shot for my setup

yes, pull means retard the timing. not sure on the plug part numbers but yes 1 or 2 steps colder. and i say stock chip because aftermarket ones advance your timing too much but since you have full control of your timing curves i would adjust them accordingly. i have no expierience tuning with a laptop so i cant give you any worthwhile info on fuel/timing maps.
