I wasn't able to drive it today to test for OD. I mean actually OD, as in it only would shift up to 3rd gear.

I am not sure how hot it got since my gauge doesn't work. I'm not even sure it got that hot since my reasoning for believing it was hot was the AF spilling out of the cap, but it seems to do that...

Cleared the code and added coolant. Started up the car with the radiator cap off and it didn't shoot fluid out like there was too much pressure. Put on a new rad cap since the old one was on there...

car won't run with the maf unplugged. It'll just fire up, stumble and die.

As for the knock sensor, gotta check that :)

replaced Oil pressure switch with one that actually looks like the original (the NAPA one it had was larger), gauge works again and after fighting with car to idle, had it idle enough to check...

I checked the cpnnection to the MAF and noticed the harness connector looks a bit melted on one side.

no codes and the check engine light behaves normal. I just replaced the pick up coil to no avail, but I did notice something odd. If I unplug the connector from the alternator, the car idles...

Also, if I unplug the MAF, the car won't stay on at all; but ff I unplug the IAC or egr solenoid, there is no change; only removing the timing connector has a positive effect.

Quick Q:Car smokes at idle and WOT but

The car was compression tested and passed with excellent numbers all around. Could it pass the compression test with bad rings. Also the smoke tends to go away after about 15 minutes of driving it.
