I traded a 1996 Olds Ciera for this back in 2010 it only has 59k on the clock. Its getting a total resto on it.

I know there may have already been a thread on this but I was wondering if a steering column out of a 4th gen camaro would work in a 3rd gen because my column dont have tilt and needs a new turn...

I am wanting to redo the interior of my 1988 Camaro. I want it to be kinda different. I am wanting to start with the dash and then maybe add some speakers to the door if there is room behind them....

Did you replace the distributor? I replaced all ignition components on my 88 and turned out to be the pick up coil on the distributor. Just a thought.

You will need to get a set of 2" to 2.5" wheel spacers. They have them on ebay. You will have to make sure they are centered just right or it will ride rough.

I have an 88 Camaro and 88 S10. I ended up with a set of 97 Firebird 16" wheels. The tire size is 245/50R16 FRONT AND 255/50R16 REAR.

I just hooked up my parking brake wire to the same ground and I havent had a problem showing a dvd going down the road.

The factory wiring should be fine. I havent had any issues with older speaker wires when I have changed speakers. Just my opinion.

I think that is the primary design flaw with any gen Firebird. I didnt like the flip up lights and that is why I kept my Camaro and traded the bird.

I have a Jensen "Phase Linear" flip out unit in my Explorer that looks good and works great. I am wanting to put these screens in my truck that I am working on for show. I dont drive it much. :thanks:

If I am reading right replace exhaust, heads, intake, air cleaner and small cam? That shouldnt be too bad considering that the thing has less than 60k original miles and sat for a while.

If its just the lever then they just twist out and only go in one way because they have a tab on them. Just grab it close to the column and twist either left or right I cant remember what direction.

I just unplugged my TBI Injectors when I was trying to get it in time. You can always pull the fuse for the fuel pump

To check the sending unit without dropping the tank since you have to drop the rear axle. Jack the rear of the car you should see a wiring harness with three wires (unsure of the colors) unplug it....
