If I recall correctly, Transgo and Superior shift kits are preferred to B+M kits, at least on the 700R4.
If you want firm shifts, I would also do the corvette servo and upgraded boost valve.

My 350 tended to run hot with the stock type aluminum/plastic radiator.
I installed a Champion all aluminum rad and it more or less stays right at the opening temp of the thermostat.

The pipes on the vista pro cores are adjustable. They are o ringed and can pivot slightly.
