If I want weight jacks this is what I'll be doing... Some fabrication is required though.

Re: Vortec 5.7 VS. LS Swap

Awesome, sounds like a good start!

When I first did my LS1, I went through this, I had a worn out 305 that would vapor lock, would blow smoke on start up. A buddy said it smelled like being behind...

Re: Vortec 5.7 VS. LS Swap

All of that can be done "cheaply".
My LS1 brake upgrade was just the brackets and hubs from bigbrakeupgrade, everything else (I mean everything) came from a donor car in the junk yard....

Re: Speedhut gauges arrived! -Sneak peak before install.

I love my speed hut gauges, was the easy gauge solution in 2014 with my LS swap. Also went with 120mph (well, 200km/hr) for my speedo, as I figure I'll hit very close to it in 1/4 mile.... I do wish...

Just as an FYI, the 101-10048 joints fit in the stock a-arms perfectly, pressed them in today.

Re: Proforged experience - have any?

I ended up ordering the 101-10048 ball joints. Everything I could read indicates they work on the S-10 lower arms, which use the same lower ball joints as us. I should have them in this the a-arms in...

Re: UMI weight Jack failures

For the price of these things they should be perfect and last... There really isn't much $ involved in the material to build the perch or the jack bolt.
I'll be building my own set if I'm not happy...

Re: Driver side buckle gone to dust. Please help

Go to the pick-n-pull, find a cavalier/sunfire and use the front seat buckle receivers. Bolt right in, look just right. $20 and you're golden.

Re: Proforged experience - have any?

Do you happen to have a part number? The one linked in this thread is for different cars, and cross comparing ball joints on rockauto shows they don't use the same lower ball joints as our cars.

Start hitting junk yards, get on local face book groups, you never know when you'll find what you need locally. The plastic dashes usually are in decent shape, it's the pads that don't last.
