This guy has the 14 spline so it's out of a six. What I can't find in the faq is can the 6cyl trans be used behind the 8 or is it weaker? What would one have to do to get it in there?

Three bolts will just end up bending the strap missing the bolt then either the u-joint will break or more likely the driveshaft will just fall out and smash up everything it hits under your car.

I've never heard of them rubbing. Interesting theory but it was a left turn and the left side broke so if either side was rubbing it would have been the right.
