The tire is rubbing up against the rubber snubber...

The tire is rubbing up against the rubber snubber (?) and the bracket that holds that to underbody. Why did GM make a .125 spacer if it wasn't needed? I suppose this could be hammered in?

I need a 1/8" spacer to mount GTA rims on my 91 RS (drum brakes)

AutoZone sells a universal 3/16" spacer. Would that work ok? I'm running 245 tires, I'd think they'd be ok but thought I'd ask...
