It has 4 long screws up just above the defrost vents, and a set of screws underneath the overhang the entire width of the dashpad. Remove all those, and the pad comes right off.

Pull the exhaust manifold off... will save you some headaches unless you break the bolts on the down pipe. If the O2 has been on there for a while, chances are it is not going to come loose easily...

That's your A/C compressor.... not your starting...
That's your A/C compressor.... not your starting problem unless it is so siezed up that it is keeping the motor from turning over fast enough to fire. Check for spark and fuel.

Disconnect the wire, and you can check the timing with a regular timing light. Always check the timing on a warmed up car. Stock should be at 10*, there should be a timing mark on the harmonic...
