Re: Compression question

64cc heads likely wont push the compression ratio too high on a performance build with a mild-moderate cam, etc. The killer will be quench. Stock deck with rebuilder pistons = bad quench. He needs...

Hate to tell you this, you are setting yourself up for a big time failure. You really, really, need to get away from books on theory and start looking at real life engine situations. What you say...

Re: to swap or not to swap (again?)

To be honest, you arent going to get an engine like that together for less than 2k, after machine work and everything. Budgets get blown out in this sport. The lt1 you are talking about can take a...

Re: help, oil pump is bad and no money or time to pull the engine

Is the car a factory 5 speed, or a factory 350 car?

Also, once again, do not replace an oil pump until you do some verifying that its wrong. Even after I pulled off a pan I would start checking...

Re: Noise in valve train

If your valvesprings dont have sufficient pressure you can bounce the valves off the seats. This causes all kinds of valvetrain noise.

Re: help, oil pump is bad and no money or time to pull the engine

Why do you think the oil pump is bad? You dont have to go to all that trouble to take the oil pan off, just pull the engine mount bolts and lift the engine up a little bit. But for gods sake,...

Re: What engine sensor is this? (pictures attached)

Seeing 0 and going up sounds like you were hooked to ported vacuum(above the throttle blades).

IMO seeing 10 and then a max of 15 seems a little too low. How wild of a cam are you running. Low...
