So, my fan comes with the a/c on no matter what temp the car is at. Although the new motor comes on perfectly fine when it's supposed to with the a/c off. Now what?

I'm not sure if it would get that part of the head but I've always run sea foam through my cars. I think it just needs stem seals, it only smokes on start up and never when actually driving.

Check the cat. What your describing is exactly what my car was doing with a clogged cat, I put a dynomax high flow one on and it runs like a raped ape. As much as a stock TBI 305 can anyway.

I just replaced the fan motor, not the whole assembly. It wouldn't kick on at idle even with the car at 240+. It works fine now, I'm still going to get the new relay though. 220 is still too hot...

I work at sears auto so I used the electrical testing equipment and everything checked out ok, battery, alternator and charging system. I also checked the fan plug as posted earlier, it's fine.

It's only died once when the fan kicks on. Although you can tell the car loses voltage when it kicks on or you turn the AC on. The last two times it just shut itself off.

Yeah, it fires right back up. Cranks for maybe a second and turns on.
The whole fuel pump assembly is only 2 1/2 years old. I would hope it's nothing to do with that.

I was going to say maybe it's running rich enough you're getting a lot of carbon build up but if it's blue then it's oil. Pull a spark plug out and take a look.

Well first off, porting the heads off of a TBI is not really something that is cost effective. The gains for the money spent aren't really worth it. .500 lift isn't too much but a set of TBI heads...

The odometer froze at 57k miles the day I bought the car five years ago, so it's impossible to tell how many miles it has or has been driven during a certain time period.

If you go this way, try and use some sort of crossover. It will help immensely with scavenging and sound.

3" is way too much for a stock TBI 305. It makes a lot of noise taking off, but doesn't really take off. I lost a lot of low end, even keeping the chokemaster.
