I have not messed with carbs in a long time but the Holly carb was about as simple as they come.

Trust me you don't want a Q-Jet if the holly is giving you trouble.

MY GTA has the oil pressure sender behind the distributor. When I changed my motor mounts I knocked the wire off getting the motor high enough and my gauge quit working.

#1 They may have fixed the problem. Mine had caps on them to protect the threads.

As far as your #2 I bet the LS1 guys would have a problem also. Not the truck engine guys the REAL aluminium block...

Some are turning down the rotor and turning it into a hub.

Others are buying hubs and spindles from places like bigbreakupgrade.com

Just about every discount parts store has them. They are pretty cheap and the fact that they are also your break rotors I would just change the rotors.

I just checked. Rockauto.com has them...

There is a back road here with a bad dip. The other side of that dip is all scared up from all the cars that have bottomed out on it.
