Yes, I know from what I've heard the 10 vane is more than adaquate, but this was awhile ago when I rebuilt it.

Sound alot cheaper since most junkyards have the electric speedo sensor.... Probably anything out of an older 3rd gen/RWD pickup from the same era will work.. I know the 4th gens and later trucks...

If you feel like pulling the trans you can get the pump out rather quickly and check for a stuck pressure release valve or broken vanes.....

Did you hook a pressure guage up to the service porst...

Yep, it's that simple, just note that the 2 series carrier need a 'special' thicker ring gear if you are not changing the center section. Richmond sells these... they usually run a little more...

It's definatly VATS. Check over the wires more carefully.... Maybe the ECM... But VATS controls the starter enable relay (under dash, drivers side) and also if the FI's fire.
