The only reason that would hook up to the speedo is for a speed density setup for the fuel injection. 88's didn't have this from the factory. The previous owner may have...

Torque converter lockup is a big white 4 prong plug right on the side of the tranny. It looks like this...

Do your reverse lights work? That plug may be for the solenoid for the reverse lights. There should be VERY little that's electronic on the 700R4.

Yea i can't seem to find anyone who makes one for the L98. I know there'd be cooling issues if I went with a setup like this because as we all know the 3rd gens have cooling issues to begin with...

My cobalt is an M62. same as the M112 that's in the package from Magnuson. The M62 is just for smaller displacement engines. I'm not sure what's on the SVT's but I believe they are similar...

It's definitely what I want. There is a way to cool it effectively and bring the IAT's down to a reasonable level as well. the SVT Fords and my Supercharged Cobalt are proof that it can be done...

I just worry about high IAT's. My supercharged Cobalt has IAT2 temps only about 20* higher than the ambient air temp. For example if the IAT1 (measured at the MAF sensor just above the air filter)...

It's probably the switch for the lockup converter. It should be a big white plug on the side of the tranny. Try unplugging it and see if that helps. You should have a 700r4 which is not computer...

UMMM I believe the only differance is the location of the ports for the EGR valve. Just block them off and have a custom prom made that eliminates the EGR valve.
