the fan provides air flow to the a/c condenser at idle. with out it the head pressure will climb out of control thus you get hot air! the compressor cycling does not cause the hot air the lack of air...

the car usualy average's 1.8x 60' and i have one...

well i thought the flexplate was broke, i just got the trans out and the bellhousing has a big *** crack in it:gocrazy: and was allowing stuff to move around and cause the vibration and noise!

well i talked to pi today and they said that my converter was leaving today :) and will be here fri! so i just have to stick it in and stab the trans. then hit the track!

kwik84 with the time you posted and weight, the math puts you right under 300fwhp so like 260rwh maybe!

my car is a little over 500lbs heavier and that extra weight makes more of a diff than you...

by my time and weight, it calculates out to 355rwhp and 426fwhp

and this junk b&m converter will only foot brake to about 1500 rpm and is extremely...

with the cam i have now dyno 2k shows my peak tq @ 4500 rpm and peak hp @ 6000 rpm. this seems to be pretty accurate by my times and weight!
so the new conv will be 1000rpm under my pk.

the early 700's are bad about this!

the auxilary valve body on the 87 up tranys helps this prob!

i wouldnt be too alarmed but maybe a fluid and filter change might help!

thats the thing im having trouble finding a cam that will bring it down that low the one im looking at will drop it to 9.7 i need something with a ivc of around 60-70* i belive. car runs good now...

well i think i will see if i can get those specs ground on a custom cam only hyd instead of solid.

common problem when upgrading to higher numerical gear sets as the drive shaft from the factory was poorly ballanced. have your local driveline shop balance it and you should be good!

the runner vol btween the two heads is more than likely the same ,163cc as the factory heads almost all have pretty small runners!

as far as the combustion chamber vol. could be either only way...

no preferece really it just seemed to fit my build. the car doesnt see too much street use and even though its a solid cam being that its roller it shouldnt frequent near as much adjustment
