I'd use some heat on the intake around the stuck tap, not on it, and some good needle nose pliers along with an adjustable wrench. How did you get to this point in the first place?

I would try it, but first I would remove the thermostat to avoid pressure build up. I'd make my fan run from the get go to keep the heat down.

I believe the OP said the crack was in the seat...not the head. So no welding would be needed.
The valve seat is replaceable.

Still looks like the upper spring clip of the valve stem seal to me.
the part number is on the bottom of the box in the first pic. You can see the thin silver ring clip on the new seals in the pic...

Those look exactly like the clips for the valve stem seals. At least pieces of them anyways.

I'm saying WARPED, which is probably wrong, because that's how it seemed.
As I freehand turned it during dis-assembly it would get tight then free up for about 320 degrees then tighten up again....

I'd be lying if I told you I knew. But I don't.
All I know is the coil and the module. They are supplied 12V from that wire. No power at wire...no fire.
