I just looked at the differences in the intake bolt patterns and such for the Vortec. Yikes! I wonder if there are any low cost intakes out there for it?

It fried the fan motor, the plug for the fan motor, the relay and melted the relay...

I used a timing light with the spark advance wire unplugged and then cleared the computer. And of course plugged the wire back together.
