Well, the tps in the first pic looks like it has three wires. I'm pretty sure it's the connector thats only half in the pic closest to the camera. Maybe I'm wrong about that.
Can you tell us which harness it is coming from? There is one coming from the passenger fender, and it controls the engine cricital stuff. The other one comes from the drivers side, and it controls accesorys and such.
The only connection I can think of would be the egr solenoid. That would be on the pass. side above the #6 and #8 cylinders. It would be a small black box with two vacumm hoses coming out of it. An easy way to find that would be to find your egr. It's the spaceship looking thing mounted to the pass. side of your engine. The hose from the top of that thing goes to the solenoid.

It's coming from the passenger side and I'm almost pausitive the egr solenoid is hooked up... I messed up putting the first pic in there. Here is a better pic of the plug... it is 2 wires with pink and black wires.
And here is what I think is the egr solenoid which already has a plug in it.

Do you have a Haynes manual? They have wiring diagrams as well as harness information.
In a sticky in the electronics forum(I think), there is a link to the Autozone website where there are diagrams for vehicles. Look for pink and black wires in the engine compartment diagrams.

Is this engine am original TBI engine, it almost looks like a carbed engine with a TBI unit on it, and i think that plug would be for something with the EGR which was already said, i was just wondering if the engine is an original TBI engine.

It was originally fuel injected...1988 k5 blazer(tbi), the builder put a edelbrock carb manifold on it and I actually bought a edelbrock carb for it but then I did more research on high performance tbi and changed my mind because of smog and benefits of efi in a 4 wheel drive blazer...BUT I had no idea what I was getting into with efi programming and cost of parts.

Yeah, if i were going from scratch with a new engine, and could whatever fuel intake i wanted i think i would pick carbed, it would be easier and less costly and quicker.

That connection is for the AIR diverter valve. No big deal if you don't have an emissions air pump.
The EGR is a Pink/Grey wired connector.
