13.8 for a 383 is very sad. Shane B had a 350 Vortec that ran mid/low 13s.

with heads, intake, ultimate tbi, 1.6 rockers, 3.54 posi rear. i also used a stock cam and a stock computer chip on a 305 with over 100K on the clock.
the cam has now been replaced with a 97LT1, the raockers are now 1.5 full rollers, and the rear is now a 4.09 with a spool. the stock chip is still in place and the motor has not been rebuilt, now reads 107K.
i will have new times after the jersey winter get together on dec. 15th. i expect very low 13's or high 12's with a custom chip.
later

Before I went and messed around with my previous setup I did 14.1 at 101. Now, I would be lucky to hit low 20's in my current state of tune. Pretty much a dead project now, shame, used to be a fun car and I miss driving it.
