what do u think of this combo?

tell me waht u guys think of this combo for my 67.its going to be a 383 stroker motor.eagle cast stroker kit with -5cc flat tops.heads are going to be afr 190's(not sure if i should go with 74 cc or 64 cc chambers let me know on that one)i have a few cams that i am looking at one is the lunati hr11 specs are @.050" dur intake:226 exh.234 lift @valve is intake.530 exh. .530 lobe sep 112deg. dd200 says 506ftlb@3500 rpm and 429hp@5000 rpm.now the other 2 cams are also lunati specs are pretty close to this one.this is going to be a tpi motor(ported out)and a t56 trans.this car will never see track time so i probably won't rev it past 5000rpm anyway.i know dd2000 is optimistic but what should i expect out of this combo in real life at the wheels?also looking to get about 10:1 compression.this is a HYDRAULIC roller cam by the way.let me know all of your opinions good and bad. i really want a killer street motor.also i have an accell dfi i am going to use on this. also large tube headers with flowmasters.

300-320rwhp with the TPI. Gobs of torque though, from what I've read the TPI is maxxed out at around 320rwhp (ported too the max). I think you would benefit greatly from a superram intake. I just can't see building a monster motor and feeding it through a straw. Let that beast breath and spin some RPM and it will be a mean machine. The cam looks pretty good. I really don't think the AFRs need the split to the exhaust though.
Good luck,
Charlie

With DD2000 the best way I found to make them compare with real dyno numbers is to put in the actual flow of your heads, then change from "small tube headers" to "HP manifolds" and to always tell it its a hydraulic cam.

Sounds like it'll be a nice running motor, I heard AFR dropped the 190s because of their 180s. So now its 180,195,210...

do u think that these upgrades will help at all?
No.

TPI's main restriction is the lower intake. All else is merely nibbling around the edges as long as that's there.

With a non-restrictive intake tract, you trade off the "tuned" effect which produces the torque peak at 3600 RPM and the anti-tuning above 4500, in exchange for some flow.

No. I dont really believe that the lower intake is problem, but the long tube runner design over all. The long runner design is tuned to give torque but gives up high end. If you are willing to consider buying a lower intake, I have one question. Emissions? Where do you live, and what kind of emissions checks do you have? I would suggest that if you do not have emissions that you consider the converted LT1 intake. It flows much better and can be picked up pretty cheap. My friend has bought a couple from the classifieds for three hundred and some dollars each. One of them came w/ the fuel lines and remote thermostat housing. This converion can be done for about the price of a lower intake if you watch for a deal. Then if you sell your runners you will get some of that back. I just think you will be loosing out on a large amount of power by sticking w/ the long tube runner design.
