gas tank question
i noticed the other day that when im down to 1/4 of a tank of gas and i go around a corner that my fuel pump gets starved for fuel. also when i am on hills or going around corners my fuel guage moves quite a bit. i was wondering if there are any gas tanks that will work for our cars that have baffles in them to stop this. if not do i just have to make sure i always have 1/2 a tank?

It is always a good idea to keep at least a 1/2 tank...because it keeps the pump cool. However the problem you are having sounds like something else might be going on...whenever mines happens to get that low I still never have a problem.

My car has a baffled tank and I even replaced the tank with one from an 1989 TA and that also had baffles.

With the needle on E I have no starvation problems, not to mention that there is still 4-5 gallons of fuel in the tank on E...stupid factory gauges

i have noticed when i do fill it up it goes above E. is it possible that the stock guage is just way off? i usually put more gas in it when it gets to the last white mark. when i do i usually put 5 gallons in it and it brings the guage to 3/4 full. is the guage just off?

Very common for factory gauges to read weird. Typically you only have 1/3 tank when the gauge reads 1/2.
GM was to cheap/lazy to calibrate the floats to work right in our V shaped tanks.

Then why is my problem that the needle is telling me that there is less fuel than there actually is? I filled today from above the 3/4 mark. 8.6 gallons. The tank is 15.9 gallons...thanks, General
